Dinner Saturdays & Lazy Sundays

Sticking to New Year's Resolutions can be tough, but cooking at home has been surprisingly rewarding! Lately, we've been cooking from How to Cook Everything. When I picked it up at William & Sonoma (On sale for $15! What a steal!), I was hoping to find a few good recipes. However, everything we've cooked so far has been hearty, healthy and delicious! There is even an app available for the iPad & iPhone!  Here are a few pictures of the white bean & potato gratin we made (along with our impromptu fondue!)

As a reward for all that cooking, John and I spent a lazy Sunday morning at Big City Coffee.  Known for their big (aka Gigantic!) portions and clever cups of jo, we love to read the news and lounge on their comfy mismatched couches. For drinks, John downed a “Happy Camper” complete with marshmallows and I had a “Gingerbread Man.” Yum! What are some of your favorite places for breakfast?
A rainy morning, I love the way the raindrops cling to these berries.
